Headlines the Economic Calendar on Tuesday
1.Manufacturing PMI Numbers
Keep your eye on a report on activity in the manufacturing sector.
German Manufacturing PMI will be announced and it is expected to come out at 57.9 while Eurozone Manufacturing PMI is expected to be 53.6 in November. A reading above 50 indicates an expansion in the sector.
On the other hand, UK Manufacturing PMI for November is expected to be 55.2.
2. Eurozone Consumer Price Index (CPI)
If we look at the Eurozone, we will closely watch the Consumer Price Index. On a year-on-year basis, the Eurozone CPI is expected to be -0.2%.
3. Canada GDP for September
Market consensus for Canada GDP growth is 0.9% m-o-m growth in September. A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive for the Canadian Dollar.
4. Fed Chair Powell Testifies
Fed Chairman Jerome Powell and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin are to testify before the Senate Banking Committee
