Headlines the Economic Calendar on Tuesday
1. UK Unemployment Rate
The UK Office for National Statistics will publish the monthly jobs report today and it will be watched more for what it says about wages than hiring. The UK Unemployment Rate is expected to stay at 3.9% in July, the same as the previous reading.
2. Canada Housing Data
Canada Housing Starts is a critical indicator of economic strength in Canada. The market expects housing starts to ease to 215.0K in August from 222.0K in the previous number.
3. US JOLTS Report
The US Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTs) comes out today
On average, economists expect that the job vacancies ease to 7.311 million in July from 7.348 million in June. A higher than forecast will be supportive for the US Dollar.
